Sy's Harley-Davidson :: Race Team

At Sy's Harley-Davidson we LOVE drag racing!
We run a full time team and we are a sponsor at Western Sydney International Dragway.

Meet the team:

The newest member of the team is Darren Folkes.  Darren is the winner of our "So you think you can ride" competition.  He rides a 2004 FXDL and last season was track champion for the Screamin' Eagle series.

Marcus Wilson has been involved with drag racing for many years.  He currently rides a V-rod Destroyer and was the 08/09 ANDRA Modified Bike Division Champion.  He is a factory trained Harley-Davidson Technican and our Service Department Shop Foreman.

Darren Shepherd has been on Sy's Race Team since the begining.  He races a V-rod Destroyer.  He once rode his Deuce all the way to Perth, raced it and rode home.  He lives to drag race.

Andrew "Ratchet" Waltos is a promising 3rd year apprentice.  After a successful season on our Sportster Drag bike we moved him up to the 2002 VRSCA.  He has all the makings of a great racer he's light, young and fearless.

"Brownie" Brown is our Service Manager and lover of all things V-rod.  He rides a 2006 VRSCD.

Dave Butler is one of the newest members to Sy's race team but not new to racing.  Dave has motorcycle racing in his blood and comes from a family of motorcycle enthusiasts.
